Statement of Beliefs

(Click Title to Reveal)

We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. The Scriptures are essential to the understanding of God and His plans, and they guide us in all aspects of life. (2 Timothy 3:16-17, Psalm 119:105, 2 Peter 1:20-21)

We believe there is only one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and co-eternal, each possessing all the attributes of deity. (Matthew 28:19, 2 Corinthians 13:14, Deuteronomy 6:4)

We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory. (John 1:1,14, 1 Corinthians 15:3-4, Acts 1:11)

We believe that salvation is a gift from God to man. This gift is effected by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, resulting in repentance, justification, and regeneration. This salvation produces a life of sanctification, righteousness, and good works as evidence of faith. (Ephesians 2:8-9, Romans 10:9-10, John 3:16)

We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ, with equality across racial, gender, and class differences. The church has the mandate to preach the gospel and make disciples of all nations. (Matthew 16:18, Ephesians 4:11-13, Acts 2:47)

We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, whose indwelling enables the Christian to live a godly life. The Holy Spirit also empowers believers with spiritual gifts for the edification of the church and as a witness to the world. (Galatians 5:22-23, Acts 1:8, 1 Corinthians 12:4-7)

We believe in the blessed hope, which is the personal, visible return of our Lord Jesus Christ. His return has a vital bearing on the personal life and service of the believer. We also believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; those that are saved to the resurrection of life and those that are lost to the resurrection of damnation. (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17, John 5:28-29, Revelation 22:12)

We believe that Christians should live for the glory of God and the well-being of their fellow humans; that their conduct should be blameless before the world; that they should be faithful stewards of their possessions; and that they should seek to realize for themselves and others the full stature of maturity in Christ. (Colossians 3:17, 1 Peter 2:12, Ephesians 4:1-3)

We believe that Christ instituted the sacraments of Baptism and the Lord’s Supper, which are to be observed solemnly and joyfully by all believers as signs and seals of the covenant of grace. (Matthew 28:19, 1 Corinthians 11:23-26)

These beliefs form the foundational theology and doctrine of Pneuma Life Church but also the foundation of what it means to be a follower of Christ as reflected throughout church history.

We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. The Scriptures are essential to the understanding of God and His plans, and they guide us in all aspects of life.

  • 2 Timothy 3:16-17: “All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.”

  • Psalm 119:105: “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.”

  • 2 Peter 1:20-21: “Knowing this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture comes from someone’s own interpretation. For no prophecy was ever produced by the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.”

We believe there is only one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and co-eternal, each possessing all the attributes of deity.

  • Matthew 28:19: “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.”

  • 2 Corinthians 13:14: “The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.”

  • Deuteronomy 6:4: “Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one.”

We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.

  • John 1:1,14: “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God… And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.”

  • 1 Corinthians 15:3-4: “For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures.”

  • Acts 1:11: “This Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will come in the same way as you saw him go into heaven.”

We believe that salvation is a gift from God to man. This gift is effected by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, resulting in repentance, justification, and regeneration. This salvation produces a life of sanctification, righteousness, and good works as evidence of faith.

  • Ephesians 2:8-9: “For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.”

  • Romans 10:9-10: “If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved.”

  • John 3:16: “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.”

We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ, with equality across racial, gender, and class differences. The church has the mandate to preach the gospel and make disciples of all nations.

  • Matthew 16:18: “And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.”
  • Ephesians 4:11-13: “And he gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the shepherds and teachers, to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ.”
  • Acts 2:47: “Praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved.”

We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, whose indwelling enables the Christian to live a godly life. The Holy Spirit also empowers believers with spiritual gifts for the edification of the church and as a witness to the world.

  • Galatians 5:22-23: “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things, there is no law.”
  • Acts 1:8: “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”
  • 1 Corinthians 12:4-7: “Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit; and there are varieties of service, but the same Lord; and there are varieties of activities, but it is the same God who empowers them all in everyone. To each is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good.”

  • 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17: “For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord.”
  • John 5:28-29: “Do not marvel at this, for an hour is coming when all who are in the tombs will hear his voice and come out, those who have done good to the resurrection of life, and those who have done evil to the resurrection of judgment.”
  • Revelation 22:12: “Behold, I am coming soon, bringing my recompense with me, to repay each one for what he has done.”

We believe that Christians should live for the glory of God and the well-being of their fellow humans; that their conduct should be blameless before the world; that they should be faithful stewards of their possessions; and that they should seek to realize for themselves and others the full stature of maturity in Christ.

  • Colossians 3:17: “And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.”

We believe that Christ instituted the sacraments of Baptism and the Lord’s Supper, which are to be observed solemnly and joyfully by all believers as signs and seals of the covenant of grace.

  • Matthew 28:19: “Baptize them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.”

Do this in remembrance of me.’ In the same way also he took the cup, after supper, saying, ‘This cup is the new covenant in my blood. Do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me.'”

Our Core Values

(Click Title to Reveal)

We believe that God is the center of our lives. Everything we do and desire to do should be centered around pleasing him and abiding in his perfect will for our lives. Our end goal is to accomplish HIS will here on earth.

We believe that the cornerstone of humanity is the family which was established by God through the creation of Adam and Eve, man and woman. The family is the backbone of society and the kingdom of God.

We don’t put the church before our family, however, we do put God first over everything in our lives!

We worship with pure intentions and with our whole hearts. It is our desire to please God through our worship for He seeketh those that are true worshippers to worship him.

We love one another as Jesus loved the church. We take pride in showing the love of God to our friends, family, co-workers, and our brothers and sisters in Christ – regardless of ethnicity, race, previous religious background, gender, or socio-economic status.

We believe that God’s church should be a mosaic of all cultures, ethnicities, and generations coming together to worship and praise God as one.

We believe that we should honor God in every area of our lives. This is evident in 5 key areas: Our Spiritual Walk, Our Families, Our Finances, Our Relationships and Our Health.

As Jesus did, we care tremendously for those that are less fortunate than us and we support those that are in need as resources will allow us to!

We are a church that welcomes all to come and be a part regardless of race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, socio-economic status, or previous religious beliefs.

We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. The Scriptures are essential to the understanding of God and His plans, and they guide us in all aspects of life.
